Digsby –Your One Stop Source for Social Integration?

A few weeks ago, you might recall my post asking the question, “How do you manage your social networks?” You may also recall that I was testing out both Brizzly and Digsby, two social media and networking applications that integrate various social media accounts.

After a few weeks of using both applications (drumroll please…), I’ve come to the conclusion that Digsby best meets my social networking needs.

The biggest advantage with using Digsby is that it integrates several accounts, not just Facebook and Twitter –like Brizzly. Since I have multiple social networking accounts, being able to view all of them through one resource is great!

To date, Digsby has the capabilities to integrate the following:

  • Social Networking – Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and LinkedIn
  • Instant Messaging – AIM, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, Google Talk, Jabber and Facebook Chat
  • Email – Gmail, Yahoo Mail, AOL/AIM Mail, IMAP and POP

In addition to integrating the various social accounts, Digsby also allows users to add a little personalization by customizing Digsby with application skins and themes.

So as you can see, Digsby is a great one stop source for social integration –that is for me anyway. However, just because it works for me, doesn’t mean it’ll be what’s best for you. Either way, it’s definitely work checking out at www.digsby.com! Good luck and enjoy!
