Brighton Agency has announced Tina VonderHaar, owner and president, has been selected by the St. Louis Business Journal for its prestigious Most Influential Business Women Award. The 2010 Most Influential Business Women Award program honors businesswomen in the St. Louis area who have shown an unsurpassed dedication to their careers and their community. The award recognizes VonderHaar among some of the city’s most successful and esteemed professional women.

“I’m delighted to be recognized among so many remarkable St. Louis women who have had such significant impacts on the local business environment and our communities,” said VonderHaar. “I also share this honor with our great clients because any success we receive at Brighton is dependent on the support and efforts of our valued business partners.”

VonderHaar became the owner and president of Brighton in January of 2009, after joining Brighton in 2005 as its Director of Human Resources. Her skill as a strategic partner in the areas of personnel and business management led to her ascension to the role of the company’s Chief Operating Officer in 2006. As COO, VonderHaar helped transform Brighton into an agency radically different from traditional advertising models. The 40-person, full-service agency takes a strategic, consultative approach that enables Brighton to contribute more fully to clients’ long-term business objectives.

Prior to joining Brighton, VonderHaar spent over 10 years with Accenture, a global business and systems consulting company with 75,000 people. As Accenture’s Global Human Resources Business Process Director, she was responsible for delivering global services and solutions across multiple clients. VonderHaar also owned and ran HRcounts, a company specializing business processes and personnel management for small businesses.

VonderHaar brings significant contributions to the community through her involvement with Winning Women, Chesterfield Day School, Haven of Grace, and National MS Society. She also engages Brighton and its staff in valuable community programs, such as the 2010 St. Louis County Economic Council’s Regional Business Plan Competition, Clayton Chamber of Commerce, and Leadership Clayton.

“Tina’s dedication and commitment to initiating innovative practices for Brighton has set our business apart from agencies in St. Louis, serving as an inspiration to our employees and generating recognition from our clients. Part of Brighton’s success can truly be accredited to her leadership in both her work and her civic involvements,” said David Molho, Brighton Creative Director.

VonderHaar and the other winners will be recognized at an awards luncheon on Friday, August 13, 2010, at the Renaissance Grand, 800 Washington Ave. Profiles of each of the honorees will be featured in the August 13 issue of the St. Louis Business Journal.
