Tomorrow is America’s birthday and St. Louis is ready to keep you and your family busy with a never ending list of ways to celebrate this exciting holiday.

In the heart of the city, Fair Saint Louis is putting on a show you don’t want to miss. Wednesday is packed with activities from the Family Fun Run at 8:30 a.m. to the Heart concert at 8 p.m., followed by a fireworks show! Don’t forget to hit up the afternoon air show too. Be sure to check out the full schedule to pick your favorite events!
Another family friendly option is Riverfest 2012. Hosted by Historic Saint Charles, this event will take place all day this Wednesday in Frontier Park! Take a drive down to the riverside to enjoy the parade at 10 a.m., family friendly games and activities during the day up until fireworks at 9:20 p.m.!
Missouri Botanical Gardens’ Whitaker Music Festival is another summer hit! If you’re up for a quaint night in the park on a picnic blanket with a bottle of wine, this event is for you. The Air National Guard Band of the Central States will be performing jazz and big band music starting at 7:30 p.m. on July 4. We’re thinking you just might be able to see fireworks from the gardens as well!
Due to extreme heat and dry conditions, other events around the area have been canceled or postponed.
Let us know which event(s) you pick to attend. Have fun and stay cool!
