What You Should Know About Facebook’s Sponsored Results

Last Wednesday, Facebook began rolling out Sponsored Results, letting marketers target users searching for specific apps, Pages and Places and inserting a link that points to their own respectable app, Page or tab.
While businesses, cannot direct users off-site with these ads, they can appear above organic adds helping drive traffic away from competitors.
If there’s one important point to take away from the Sponsored Results it’s that Facebook is giving yet another way for marketers to advertise their products.

According to Facebook, Sponsored Results will provide:
- Expanded distribution of your message, with placement in one of the most used features on Facebook
- The ability to target what people are looking for, by appearing alongside related Apps, Pages and Places
- Flexibility to customize your landing destination, such as a specific tab on your Page
Whether this new advertising tactic will work – only time will tell.
