Receiving a gift is nice, but there's something about being the giver that makes the exchange even brighter. Our team knows this firsthand, especially as we embrace the spirit of the season. By teaming up with Great Circle for its "Adopt a Family" holiday donation drive, our agency will provide a local family of nine with holiday gifts and essential items.
Helping Great Circle, Missouri's largest provider of nonprofit behavioral health services that strengthen the lives and futures of children and families, has touched many members of the Brighton team.
As a mother who encourages her children to be appreciative and continuously give back to the community, Account Director Carrie Doza gets fulfillment out of being able to share what she has with others.
"As a company, I think it's important for us to give back to the community because we are all very fortunate and able to give to our families," said Carrie. "I think the spirit of not only just donating during the holidays but also the idea of year-round generosity is really indicative of our culture here at Brighton."
Having been a child in a family that was sponsored by a similar program when she was growing up, Director of Insights Chris Hart-Nieland knows firsthand how much these programs positively impact not only the children but also the family as a whole.
"As parents, we want to give the world to our kids and families, but not everyone is able to due to different circumstances. Now that I am a mother, it occurs to me how the parents feel in that situation," said Chris. "For my mom, donation drives like this gave her a way to ensure that I had a Christmas just like everybody else. I'm so glad that we have the opportunity to help Great Circle by making the holidays brighter for the children, while also helping their parents."
Both Carrie and Chris agree that whether it's helping a colleague with a project or giving back to an organization like Great Circle, the spirit of giving is reflective of our individual values and who we are as a company.
